Thermoforming
Thermoforming

Vacuum Forming is a molding technology where a thermoplastic sheet is heated to a forming temperature, stretched onto a single-surface mold, and forced against the mold by a vacuum. Typical plastics formed at DALB include polycarbonate, acrylic, ABS, Kydex/Boltaron, PETG, TPO, HDPE, PP and many more. This technology is used to form plastic into permanent objects like covers, enclosures, and signage. Many companies use decals or paint to decorate their vacuum formed componentry, but at DALB we have a proprietary method of distortion printing and molding.

THICK GAUGE FORMING
Thick gauge forming is used to create sturdy, rigid enclosures for equipment such as medical devices, automotive and aerospace parts, robotic enclosures and various other applications.
LARGE FORMAT THIN FILM FORMING
Thin film forming uses the same vacuum based forming system but on materials of .060” thickness or less. We work closely with our partners to stay at the forefront of bringing innovation to the industry. We have many unique and innovative methods and techniques. LARGE FORMAT REGISTERED GRAPHICS + DISTORTION PRINTING
Distortion printing is the process of printing a distorted version of an image onto a sheet of plastic and systematically vacuum forming the sheet on a mold so that specific areas of the printed image appear in corresponding areas of the resulting three-dimensional finished part. At DALB Inc., we are experts in the process, which allows us to deliver quality and detail in our products that customers have come to expect from us. The overall process is performed using precise computer software systems, that allows us to drive design innovation whilst eliminating the expenditures associated with older trial and error procedures.
